§ 16-1. International Fire Code and state amendments adopted.

  • (a)

    There is hereby adopted by the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion the International Fire Code, 2006 edition, with Georgia Amendments (2007).

    (b)

    It is the city's intent to at all times enforce the latest edition of the fire code adopted in subsection (a) of this section, as it may be adopted and amended from time to time by the state department of community affairs, and all such amendments and subsequent editions and revisions shall be deemed applicable to and enforceable in the city as notice of the adoption of such amended and revised codes by the state department of community affairs is received by appropriate city officials.
