§ 20-56. Proposals.

  • (a)

    The mayor, city council, historical preservation commission, a historical society, a neighborhood association, or a group of property owners may make proposals for the designations of historic districts and properties. A single property owner may apply for the designation of a historic property.

    (b)

    If an ordinance for designation is being considered, the commission shall have the power to freeze the status of the involved property.
