§ 28-3. Receptacle use and restrictions.

  • (a)

    The Poly Kart is to be used only for normal household garbage.

    (b)

    The load limit is 200 pounds.

    (c)

    Wastes not acceptable for the Poly Kart are:

    (1)

    Poisons, acids, caustics, explosives and volatile liquids, such as gasoline, oil and paint;

    (2)

    Hot coals and ashes;

    (3)

    Building rubbish or materials and furniture;

    (4)

    Soil, rocks and automobile and vehicle tires.

    (d)

    The Poly Kart shall be placed near the street on the scheduled collection day by 8:00 a.m.

    (e)

    Exemption from placing the Poly Kart near the street will be made by the city only when an attending physician certifies that all persons occupying the site are unable to perform this act.

    (f)

    The Poly Kart may not be emptied for the following reasons:

    (1)

    The kart is too heavy;

    (2)

    Unlawful materials were found in kart; and

    (3)

    The kart was not at the curb when truck arrived.
