§ 34-98. Fifteen minute parking zones.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle in front of the United States Post Office in the city for a continuous period in excess of 15 minutes:

    (1)

    In any of the parking spaces on the north side of Franklin Street, between the midpoint of the block between Forest Avenue and Carolina Street and the intersection of Carolina Street and Franklin Street; or

    (2)

    In any of the parking spaces on the east side of Carolina Street between the intersection of Carolina Street and Franklin Street and the rear of the United States post office. The city manager and chief of police shall cause the spaces that shall be included in this zone to be marked. The selection of spaces that fall within the zone as described in this section, and the manner of marking of such spaces, shall be in the judgment and discretion of the city manager and police chief.
