§ 36-71. Meter reading; billings; collecting; penalties.

(a)

Meters shall be read at intervals of approximately one month and bills mailed as soon thereafter as is practical. The charges, which shall be for all gas service up to the latest meter reading, shall be due and payable on or before the 25th day of each month.

(b)

On the 26th day of the month, if the bill shall remain unpaid, it shall be declared delinquent.

(c)

On the 26th day of the month, all delinquent bills shall be assessed a penalty of ten percent of the total bill amount or $10.00, whichever is greater.
