§ 6-71.5. Howling or barking declared nuisance.

  • (a)

    The howling or barking of any dog to such an extent or so continuously as to materially interfere with or affect the health, comfort, peace and quiet of the public is hereby declared to be a nuisance.

    (b)

    Any person who harbors, keeps in such person's possession, or has control of, any dog, the howling or barking of which constitutes a nuisance, and who also fails or refuses to abate such nuisance when requested in writing to do so by the chief of police, shall be charged with a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be fined not less than $100.00 or more than $500.00.
