§ 34-65. On-system speed limits established.

The following speed zones are established for the following streets and roads and portions of streets and roads in the corporate city limits, all of which are part of the state highway system:

(1)

Twenty-five miles per hour.

(a)

Georgia Highway 8. From 306 feet west of Gibson Street (mile point 10.99) to 202 feet west of College Avenue (mile point 12.17), a distance of 1.81 miles.

(b)

Georgia Highway 8 West. From Georgia Highway 8 and North Richardson Street (mile point 00.00) to Georgia Highway 77 (mile point 00.07), a distance of 00.07 miles.

(c)

Georgia Highway 51. From Georgia Highway 8 (Chandler Street) (mile point 10.68) to 101 feet south of Maret Street (mile point 10.87), a distance of 00.20 miles.

(d)

Georgia Highway 77 (during school days). On days that the public schools in Hart County, Georgia are in session: From 59 feet North of Holland Street (mile point 07.40) to 148 feet south of Carter Street (mile point 07.64), a distance of 00.24 miles.

(e)

Georgia Highway 77 (during non-school days). On days that the public schools in Hart County, Georgia are not in session: From 27 feet south of Alford Road (mile point 07.54) to Georgia Highway 8 (mile point 07.83), a distance of 00.29 miles.

Thirty-five miles per hour.

(a)

Georgia Highway 8. From 272 feet west of Condor Street (mile point 10.78) to 306 feet west of Gibson Street (mile point 10.99), a distance of 00.21 miles; and from 202 feet west of College Avenue (mile point 12.17) to 95 feet east of Ridge Road (mile point 12.96), a distance of 00.79 miles.

(b)

Georgia Highway 8 (during school days). On days that the public schools in Hart County, Georgia, are in session: From 210 feet west of College Avenue (mile point 12.17) to 35 feet east of Slaton Avenue (mile point 12.63), a distance of 00.46 miles.

Georgia Highway 51. From 775 feet North of Leard Street (mile point 10.32) to Georgia Highway 8 (mile point 10.57), a distance of 00.25 miles; and from 101 feet south of Maret Street (mile point 10.88) to 543 feet south of Emory Drive (mile point 11.02), a distance of 00.14 miles.

Georgia Highway 8. From 199 feet east of Memorial Road (mile point 10.51) to 272 feet west of Condor Street (mile point 10.78), a distance of 00.27 miles; and from 95 feet east of Ridge Road (mile point 12.96) to 62 feet east of Ulyanovsk (mile point 13.44), a distance of 00.48 miles.

Fifty-five miles per hour.

Georgia Highway 8. From 522 feet west of Tabernacle Church Road (West Hartwell City Limits) (mile point 10.21) to 199 feet east of Memorial Road (mile point 10.51), a distance of 00.30 miles; and from 62 feet east of Ulyanovsk (mile point 13.44) to 297 feet west of Elizabeth Road (East Hartwell City Limits) (mile point 13.92), a distance of 00.48 miles.

Georgia Highway 51. From 42 feet North of Fisher Drive (South Hartwell City Limits) (mile point 09.76) to 147 feet north of Glendale Drive (mile point 09.92), a distance of 00.16 miles; and from 287 feet north of Woodlake Landing (mile point 11.84) to 366 feet south of Rowland Road (North Hartwell City Limits) (mile point 12.19), a distance of 00.35 miles.
