§ 8-4. State minimum standard codes adopted.

  • (a)

    The city adopts and incorporates by reference as if fully set forth in this section, the following state minimum standard codes, copies of which shall be available in the office of the city clerk and/or the city building official:

    (1)

    International Building Code (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007, 2009 and 2010;

    (2)

    National Electrical Code (NFPA), 2011 Edition, with no Georgia State Amendments;

    (3)

    International Fuel Gas Code (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012;

    (4)

    International Mechanical Code (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, and 2012, and with Errata to 2007 Amendments;

    (5)

    International Plumbing Code (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012;

    (6)

    International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012;

    (7)

    International Energy Conservation Code (ICC), 2009 Edition, with Georgia State Supplements and Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2011 and 2012;

    (8)

    International Fire Code (ICC), 2006 Edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2007 and 2010;

    (9)

    International Existing Building Code (ICC), 2006 edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2009; and

    (10)

    International Property Maintenance Code (ICC), 2006 edition, with Georgia State Amendments, adopted by the Georgia Board of Community Affairs in 2009.

    (b)

    It is the city's intent at all times to enforce the latest edition of each and every code adopted by the city in this section, as such code may be adopted, amended, revised or supplemented from time to time by the state board of community affairs, and all such amendments and subsequent editions and revisions shall be deemed applicable to and enforceable in the city as notice of the adoption of such amended and revised codes by the state department of community affairs is received by appropriate city officials, and as each such notice is received by city officials, each new code edition, amendment, revision or supplement shall be held to be in full force and effect as if it were the original adopted code described in this section.
